St George's C of E Primary, Hyde
The 'Step Back' team made a return visit to St George's in February and we had a fantastic day. As always, great staff, great kids. The feedback from our 2008 visit has helped us improve and expand the business in so many ways.
Congratulations to the Year 5 class for being the first kids in Tameside to try, and enjoy, quail and duck eggs as part of their Tudor feast. Who ate all the chicken ?
They sparked flints, used wax seals and the 6 wives of Henry VIII gave up part of their morning break to learn and later perform a dance routine for the class. In fact they were that good they gave a repeat performance at the end of the day.
Sorry lads, final score in the quiz was 27 / 21 to the girls. You really should have listened to Ben !!
"What a great day - Year 5 loved it. Thanks again " Mr Francos - class teacher.
Ben demonstrates the power in an arch - an ordinary egg has enormous strength when upright
